With global population growth, increased consumption and rising energy prices, managing sustainability is an essential part of future business planning and success.
I’m passionate about making changes to the way companies work, helping to grow businesses in a way that strives for a positive environmental and social impact. This is encapsulated in the company name, Decouple, which means breaking the link between economic growth and negative environmental and social impact.
Being aware of future trends means business can not only mitigate risks but also take full advantage of the opportunities for innovation and growth that sustainability can bring.
About Lucy
Lucy left the corporate world to set up Decouple as her own company providing sustainable and environmental business consultancy. As the main client contact Lucy delivers the majority of projects, however as projects require, other experts can join the team to add specialist knowledge or achieve project work within tight deadlines.
Lucy has always been passionate about working in the sustainability field and her experience as an environmental and sustainability manager comes from 14 years working for blue chip companies. After studying Physics as Bristol University she went on to complete her Doctorate in Environmental Technology, specialising in life cycle assessment.
Before leaving to set up Decouple Lucy was Group Environmental Manager at Vodafone, where she developed Vodafone’s environmental and climate strategy across the Group. Lucy represented Vodafone externally and is experienced at working with multinationals, the EU, UN, trade associations, UK government, investors and NGO’s.
Prior to Vodafone Lucy spent 10 years in the Sustainability team at Nokia where she held environmental management roles covering life cycle assessment, climate change, resource efficiency, environmental management systems, and auditing.
The aim of Decouple is to provide a one to one service, balanced with the quality of approach and in-depth knowledge required for blue chip companies.
